I keep telling myself "I will Blog more" but naturally don't. I'm hoping as part of my new "keep organized and prepared" mantra I will do a better job.
Our Thanksgiving was busy yet wonderful. We had much less than expected (only 35ish??) We started our day with dinner at 3pm. Next moved over to the bowling alley for our annual "turkey bowl". Met up with several extended family memebers for a few rounds of bowling and cocktails. Then back to our place for dessert with as many as wanted to follow to be part of the usual caos that is a frequent part of everyday life. With so many less than originally expected we have had many leftovers. Today is ham and bean soup, yesterday was turkey at Grandma and Papa's, the day before turkey dumpling soup, the day before that turkey and ham sandwiches and tomorrow.....turkey chili!!! I'll still have ham left I'm sure but the turkey will be gone!! With only one vegetarian in the house presently I must admit I feel rather sorry for her. Luckily, there are many old standbys around for her!!
Now that phase 1 of holiday season is over and my long 3 day weekend of laying around in my pj's (recouperating) is over some of the children have requested that I spend more time with THEM and less time involved in household tasks. Well,....where is everyone??? I have noted my availablity to them and they want nothing to do with me?? It always seems to happen like this though it seems. So,... at least for today I have some alone time to post a quick one here.
I now hear a distance sound of disagreement in the distance. I'm sure someone needs me now even if it's only to referee!!
