The sick and the crazy

Have you ever noticed when you need your family to get along the best they somehow loose their minds? How sometimes being a Wife and a Mom you just sometimes don't feel appreciated? Well, my family is no exception. Dad came home sick (2nd time in 20+ years) from work today. I needed to be in and out of the house several times to run errands. (banking, stables 2x's and 2 stores) These were necessary errands since we had been gone for 2 weeks prior,we had little food, money or medication in the house. I tried to get a few kids to go with me but "no dice". They were going to stay home and "take care of Dad" and so they did (except the baby who I wouldn't think of leaving here in the "WAR ZONE"). Needless to say by the time I got home Dad was no longer sleeping and kids were running outside and looked as though they had escaped from a mental institution screaming "MOMMY, MOMMY you're back, we missed you"!!! When I get into the house Dad looks as though he's just lost a boxing match. "Thank goodness your home, I don't know HOW you do it"!!!! At first I'm a bit upset , then a smile comes across my face because then I know for the first time that day that I AM TRULY appreciated!!!

What went on today

Here is a photo of my family so the reader know what my family looks like.

We've only been home from a long (2 week) vacation a few days now. The kids are tired, a few feeling under the weather.
The majority of us got up late today (9:30am) Usually the first starts to get up around 6am then they all strangle along after that.
Most everyone wanted easy breakfast like bagels and cereal. Devon ate a hamburger. lol. We watched a lot of television, played computer games,
cooked, did some artsy stuff (Chi Chi made an "open kitchen" and "closed kitchen" sign to let everyone know when they are to
begin shifting for theirselves. (She worries I have too much work. How sweeet) The weather is getting cooler today and Fall is
showing itself. Chi Chi went for a walk in the yard this evening. She LOVES fall. Actually, she just really loves the changing of the seasons.
Dominque went for a walk to the coffee house with a friend. When the cool weather sets in we start thinking of the fall fest type activities
and Hallowen. One of my families favorites. We are going out tomorrow looking for costume ideas and candy. John came home after work feeling crappy too so
after dinner he took a shower and went to bed for the night. It's only 7:30 but feels like 11pm. Hopefully tomorrow will be a more energetic day.
I like to hibernate in the winter but just not ready yet.
